Welcome to the Love your calm podcast mini meditations to help you slow down and find your balance in this fast paced world.

Hello and welcome. Or should I say good morning if you're listening to this in the morning. But no matter what time it is for you, thank you for being here today.

My name is Hannah and I'm so happy you decided to join me for just a few minutes of meditation.
This week's meditation is focused on greeting the day. I figured I'd start the week off with a morning meditation, so let's get started.

Let's begin by taking a couple of minutes to settle into a comfortable position. If you're listening to this first thing in the morning, or even if you've been sitting for a while, you may want to take any small movements you need to help you settle in. When you're ready, you can close your eyes if that is comfortable for you, or maybe just soften your gaze.
Today is a new day, a blank page. Let's take a few minutes this morning to slow down and greet the day from a place of calm. To let go of any stress or sense of urgency you may be feeling and start the day more intentionally.
Let's take a couple of deep breaths here. Inhale slowly the air fill your lungs and exhale completely. Let's do that one more time. Inhale breathing in the sense of calm you would like to feel today and exhale, releasing any tension you may be holding in your body.
Allow your breath to settle into its natural rhythm as you take a couple of minutes here to notice any lingering tension or worries. Use your breath to release any tightness you may feel in your body.
Take a couple of minutes here to consider the day ahead to think about how carrying the sense of calm you are cultivating right now can set the tone of your whole day. Consider how you might return to this sense of calm throughout the day whenever you need it. Maybe by taking an intentional breath when when you encounter stress, planning for a small self care break during the day, or even practicing a little self compassion.
Take a couple of rounds of breath here on your own, allowing your breath to help you connect with this sense of calm to let your body relax your mind quiet as you picture yourself navigating today with this peaceful mindset.
When you are ready, take one final round of breath and slowly in your own time, begin to bring your awareness back to the space around you.
When it is comfortable for you, slowly open your eyes. Go ahead and take any movements you may need again, maybe a gentle stretch or whatever feels comfortable for you today.
As you prepare to start today. Know you are carrying with you the sense of calm you have created.
Thank you for joining me today for this mini meditation. You've been listening to. The Love your calm podcast.
