Hannah Castillo: Welcome to the love your calm podcast mini meditations to help you slow down and find your balance in this fast paced world.
Hello and welcome. My name is Hannah and I'm so happy you're here today. Thank you for choosing to spend a few minutes of your day with me.
This week's meditation is intended to help you pause and reset. We all need a little of that. It's only natural to feel stressed once in a while. Sometimes life can even feel heavy. Sometimes we forget to pause.
Today's practice will help you let go of some of the tension you may be dealing with and reset.
So let's get started.
This week let's begin with a sigh. Inhale deeply and on the exhale allow yourself to sigh, beginning to release any tension you may be feeling with your breath, letting it all go.
When you are ready, allow yourself to begin to settle into a position that feels good for you. You may choose to sit with your feet planted flat on the floor, spine straightened, hands resting on your lap, or it may be more comfortable for you to sit cross legged. Whatever feels best for you today. Once you are settled, I invite you to begin to turn your attention to your breath. There's no need to adjust anything, just allow your breath to follow its natural rhythm. Allow your focus to rest with this breath. To notice the inhale, the exhale, the rhythm of your breath just as it is.
Notice as the breath naturally begins to slow. As you give yourself permission to rest here, your muscles begin to soften slowly as your breath continues, each exhale carrying some of the tension from your body. Each inhale revitalizing you, allowing you to release any stress you may be experiencing and reset.
To let go of what is no longer serving you and allow your body to recharge. Allowing your thoughts to loosen, no longer holding as tightly to the stress that may have felt so heavy just a few minutes ago.
As you rest here, giving yourself permission to reset, you may notice you feel a little lighter, more hopeful, recharged even as you give yourself this rest and allow yourself to reset.
When you are ready, take one final round of breath and begin to bring yourself back to the space around you. Take any movements you may need, maybe rolling your shoulders a couple of times, stretching your arms out in front of you or up above. Whatever movements feel good to you today. As you prepare to return to your day, carry this sense of calm you have created.
