Hannah Castillo: Welcome to the love your calm podcast mini meditations to help you slow down and find your balance in this fast paced world.
Hello and welcome. Thank you for being here today. Whether you've been following along every week or are just tuning in for the first time, I'm so happy you're here. My name is Hannah and it's my goal to guide you through a short meditation every week to help you take a few minutes for self care and to help you see that just a few minutes of meditation can really make a difference.
This week's practice is focused on cultivating a sense of calm.
So let's get started.
Let's begin by taking an intentional breath.
Inhale deeply and exhale gently.
Take a minute to find a position that feels comfortable for you, taking any movements you may need to just settle in. If it feels good for you, you can close your eyes or even just soften your gaze.
Allow your breath to continue with its natural rhythm as you feel yourself begin to release any tension.
Settling into this practice.
If it is comfortable for you, I invite you to begin to shift your awareness to your body. Take note of any places that already feel relaxed, any place in your body that has already started to loosen, allowing this feeling of relaxation to begin to grow and to radiate into other areas of your body.
Allow your breath to continue evenly as you begin to soften any areas that may need a little extra attention, those areas that may still be holding some tension. Inhale fully here, breathing in a sense of peace.
And exhale slowly, letting go of any lingering stress.
As your body continues to soften, your mind begins to quiet, welcoming the serenity as any lingering thoughts pass through unattended.
As you give yourself permission to relax into this space.
Your body at peace, your mind calm.
When you are ready, take one final round of breath and when it is comfortable for you, begin to bring your awareness back to the space around you. Gently open your eyes and take any movements you may need as you prepare to return to your day feeling calmer, lighter, more relaxed.
Thank you for joining me today for choosing to spend a part of your day here with me. If you enjoyed this practice, take a moment to leave a review or a rating. This makes it so much easier for others to find the podcast.
