Hannah Castillo: Welcome to the Love your calm podcast, mini meditations to help you slow down and find your balance in this fast paced world.
Hello and welcome. My name is Hannah and you're listening to the Love your calm podcast. I'm so happy you decided to join me today.
This week's meditation is focused on calming anxiety.
In today's fast paced world, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by the demands and uncertainties we all face. Today's practice will help you pause, breathe and reconnect with yourself.
So let's get started.
Find a position that feels comfortable for you, taking any movements you may need to help you settle in. If it is comfortable for you, consider closing your eyes or maybe just soften your gaze.
When you are ready, begin to shift your attention to your breath.
Inhale completely filling your lungs and exhale slowly, letting go of any tension.
If you would like, consider placing one hand on your heart as you allow your breath to continue on its own, settling into its natural rhythm.
Breathing in a sense of peace.
Letting go of any worries.
Feel your heartbeat steady as you give your body permission to relax.
Allow your breath to soothe you. Comfort you.
As your thoughts begin to slow down and your mind begins to quiet.
You are safe here in this moment as you continue to feel the steady beat of your heart beneath your hand, the gentle rise and fall of your stomach with each breath, finding comfort in this sense of calm that exists within you.
Take one final round of breath, sealing in this practice, connecting with this calm. And when it feels comfortable for you, begin to bring your awareness back to the space around you. Take any movements you may need and slowly open your eyes. Take note of this feeling of relaxation, this sense of calm you have created.
Thank you for joining me today for this week's meditation. It means so much to me that you are here. Many of you have reached out to share your stories about how including meditation in your day is helping. Thank you. That's what the podcast is all about. I appreciate hearing every one of your stories. If you feel this practice was helpful, please leave a review if you are able. Until next week...
