Hannah Castillo: Welcome to the love your calm podcast mini meditations to help you slow down and find your balance in this fast paced world.
Hello and welcome. My name is Hannah and before we get started, I just want to thank you for taking time to be here today. It means so much to me that you've chosen to join me for today's practice.
This week's meditation is focused on giving yourself grace. On recognizing that your best is always good enough, no matter how your best may look today.
So let's get started.
Let's begin by taking any movements you may need today. Maybe rolling your shoulders back, taking a small stretch. Whatever movement your body needs before allowing yourself to settle into a position that feels comfortable for you. If it feels good for you today, consider closing your eyes or maybe soften your gaze. Allow your breath to continue its natural rhythm as you prepare for this practice. The steady inhale and exhale as your body begins to relax here.
I invite you to consider the idea of doing your best. We've all heard the saying, all you can do is your best. And while this is true, it isn't the whole truth.
Your best is not a constant. It is flexible and shifts from day to day. Doing your best is not tied to winning the award, completing the project, or even reaching the goals you've set.
Instead, it's about the effort you make, the way you show up for yourself, the way you care for yourself even on those hard days. But it is always enough.
Your best is always enough.
Today, I invite you to carry this reminder with you as you go through the day to show yourself a little grace. If you meet unexpected challenges, if things just don't go, how you plan...
Your best is always enough.
Take a couple of rounds of breath here on your own as you allow this to settle in. As you give yourself the reminder, your best is always enough.
Take one final round of breath, breathing in a sense of peace.
When you are ready, begin to bring yourself back to the space around you. Take any movements you may need. Your awareness begins to shift back to this space and when it is comfortable for you, gently open your eyes.
Remember that this practice will be here waiting. Anytime you need this reminder, Your best is always enough.
