Hannah Castillo: Welcome to the Love youe Calm podcast. Mini meditations to help you slow down and find your balance in this fast paced world.
Hello and welcome. My name is Hannah and so happy you're here today that you've decided to take a few minutes out of your day to join me for this meditation.
Several listeners reached out to me this week saying that they were experiencing an increase in anxiety and just feeling disconnected. They asked for more meditations focused on facing uncertainty. To those of you who reached out, thank you for sharing your story and for sharing that these mini meditations have been able to provide you with a sense of comfort.
I know you're not alone. So this week's practice is focused on finding calm when you are faced with uncertainty.
Let's get started. Take a moment to find a position that feels comfortable for you. Begin to tune in to what feels good for your body today. Maybe roll your shoulders back a couple of times. Maybe turn your head slowly from side to side. Unclench your jaw. Taking a few extra moments today to begin to release any physical tension you notice before settling into a position that feels right for you. If it's comfortable for you, consider closing your eyes or soften your gaze.
When you're ready, begin to shift your attention to your breath. Let's take one intentional breath here together.
Inhale deeply through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth, allowing any tension to melt away. Allow your breath to settle into its natural rhythm and with each inhale begin to invite in tranquility, welcoming this sense of peace. With each exhale, let go of any worries that linger.
Inhale deeply and exhale slowly.
Give yourself permission to begin to focus on any uncertainty you may be experiencing. Take a moment to acknowledge any feelings of anxiety, apprehension, or even fear that may arise. It's important to recognize these feelings without judgment.
They're simply visitors passing through your mind. Allow yourself to sit with them for a moment to simply acknowledge their presence. Imagine that with each breath you're creating a safe, peaceful space within you, and as you exhale, visualize those anxious thoughts gently floating away, releasing them freely.
You are safe and secure in this moment.
Inhale fully and exhale, letting go of any feelings of unease. Remind yourself that even in times of uncertainty, you are in control of your breath, your thoughts and your emotions.
As you continue to breathe naturally here, you may find it helpful to repeat a calming mantra. Consider saying silently to yourself, I breathe in calm, I breathe out tension. Let this mantra resonate within you. Let it really settle in, guiding you back to a sense of calm with each cycle of breath.
Stay in this space for a few more moments, allowing the natural rhythm of your breath to guide you deeper into relaxation as you inhale and exhale and when you are ready, start to bring your awareness back to the space around you.
Take any movements you may need as you feel your awareness begin to shift back when it feels comfortable for you. Slowly open your eyes.
As you move through your day. Remember, you have the power to return to this calm space whenever you need it.
Thank you for joining me today for choosing to spend a few minutes practicing meditation and allowing me to guide you. If this practice was helpful for you, please consider leaving a review. It's my goal to share these meditations with as many people as possible and I need your help to do that. Maybe even share this practice with a friend who you know could benefit from a few minutes of calm. And as always, thank you for helping me spread the word that a few minutes of meditation really can make a difference.
Until next week...
