Hannah Castillo: Welcome to the Love your Calm Podcast. Mini meditations to help you slow down and find your balance in this fast paced world.
Hello and welcome. My name is Hannah and you're listening to the Love your Calm podcast. Thank you for joining me today. I'm so glad you're here.
Today's meditation is focused on managing stress. So if you've been feeling a little stressed about managing life lately, this practice is for you. Give yourself a few minutes to settle in here and relax into this practice.
Let's get started.
Find a position that is comfortable for you today. You can be seated or lying down, whichever feels better for you. If it feels good for you today, you may close your eyes or simply soften your gaze.
When you're ready, take a deep, cleansing breath in, hold it for a moment and exhale slowly, beginning to let go of any tension you may be holding. For the next few minutes, allow your body to relax here, your mind to settle. As you give yourself permission to take this time to tend to yourself.
I invite you to begin to bring your awareness to your body. Notice any areas where you may be feeling stress, your shoulders, your neck, jaw, or maybe even your forehead. With each breath in, visualize fresh, calming energy entering your body. And with each breath out, imagine releasing the stress, allowing it to dissolve into the air.
As any thoughts or concerns come into your mind, acknowledge them lightly and let them float away, reminding yourself that it's okay to take a break, it's okay to pause to breathe. You deserve this moment of peace.
Allow your breath to continue with its natural rhythm, inhaling and exhaling evenly. And on the next exhale, let go of any thoughts or worries that no longer serve you. Picture them drifting away like leaves on a gentle stream carried far from your mind.
As you allow yourself to remain in this moment, free from the burdens of stress. Take a couple of rounds of breath here, feeling calmer, embracing the peace in this moment, in this practice, the peace that exists within you.
And when you feel ready, gently begin to bring your awareness back to your surroundings. Take any movements you may need as your focus begins to shift back to the space around you. Maybe wiggle your fingers and toes, roll your shoulders back a couple of times, whatever feels good for you, and slowly, in your own time, open your eyes, carrying the sense of peace and strength with you into your day.
Thank you for joining me for this week's short meditation. It means so much to me that you've chosen to spend a few minutes of your day here with me. If you enjoyed this practice, be sure to follow. I'd also really appreciate it if you could take a couple of minutes to leave a review that helps others find this practice.
And as always, thank you for helping me to spread the word that a few minutes of meditation really can make a difference.
Until next week.
