Hello and welcome.

My name is Hannah and I'm so glad you're here today. It means so much to me that you've chosen to spend a few minutes of your day here meditating with me.

Life is busy. In fact, sometimes it seems like it can't get any busier, and then it does. Personally, that's when I find I need these pauses even more. So today's practice is focused on connecting to a sense of calm, even if life feels a little chaotic and stressful at the moment.

Let's get started.

Begin by settling into a comfortable position. You may choose to stay seated with your feet flat on the ground, or maybe you feel more comfortable sitting cross legged today. Take any movements you need to help you prepare for this practice.If it is comfortable for you, close your eyes or maybe soften your gaze.Let's take a deep, cleansing breath in. Feel the air fill your lungs. Hold it for a moment and now exhale slowly releasing any tension you may be feeling.

Allow your breath to continue in its natural rhythm and begin to shift your awareness to the present moment. Acknowledge any stress you've been experiencing, any worries or overwhelm you've been trying to ignore. Instead of resisting it, consider giving yourself permission to simply observe to recognize that stress is a part of life, but it does not have to define you.

You have the power to find calm within it.

With your next inhale, imagine breathing in a sense of peace. Maybe picture it as a soft glowing light that fills your body with a sense of calm. Hold that light within you and as you exhale, visualize it expanding outward, creating a ripple of calm around you.

You are safe and centered. The outside stress may continue, but you are anchored.You are secure.

Feel the gentle rhythm of your breath guiding you deeper into this state of calm, inhaling peace and exhaling tension.

Continue to breathe naturally, feeling the calm within you grow stronger. You feel yourself softening deeper into this peaceful state, knowing that you can carry this calm with you into the world.

Take another round of breath here on your own.

And when you are ready, gently bring your awareness back to the space around you. Take one last deep breath in, holding on to that inner calm and exhale slowly, releasing any remaining tension. When it feels comfortable for you, slowly open your eyes. Carry this sense of peace with you as you return to your day, safe in the knowledge that even in stressful times, you can return to this short practice whenever you need it.
