Hannah Castillo: Welcome to the Love your Calm podcast Mini Meditations to help you slow down and find your balance in this fast paced world.

Hello and welcome. Thank you for joining me today. My name is Hannah and I'm so happy you're here. That you've chosen to spend a few minutes of your day here meditating.

This week's meditation is focused on slowing down. Give yourself a few minutes to just slow down and reflect on what matters most to you.

So let's get started.

Begin by finding a position that feels comfortable for you. You you can be seated or even lying down. Let your hands rest gently in your lap or loosely by your side. If it feels good for you, consider closing your eyes or simply softening your gaze.

Take a deep breath in, feeling your chest rise and your stomach begin to expand.Hold it for a moment and exhale slowly as any distractions begin to flow freely from your mind.

Notice as your breath begins to return to its natural rhythm, each inhale inviting a sense of calm into your body, giving yourself permission to soften just a little more with each exhale, letting go of any urgency or pressure you may be feeling.

This moment is yours and right now there is nowhere to be but here.

As you settle into this space, bring your awareness to this present moment.Notice the sensations around you, the texture of the surface beneath you, the gentle sounds in your environment. Embrace this moment and let it wash over you, comforting you with its warmth.

I invite you to take a moment here to reflect on what is truly important in your life, those moments you'd like to savor. It could be the love of family and friends, the natural beauty all around you, or even the simple joy of your favorite warm beverage. Acknowledge these thoughts as they gently surface.

If it is comfortable for you, begin to visualize yourself savoring these important aspects of your life, giving yourself permission to feel the warmth and gratitude they bring. Feel this warmth building, expanding with every breath you take, and on the exhales release any distractions that may prevent you from fully appreciating these moments. Letting go of the busyness that often clouds your mind, allowing any thoughts to simply pass through.

In this space, you have the power to slow down and truly savor what matters most to you.

Take a couple of rounds of breath here on your own in this reflective state as you give yourself an opportunity to be fully present with these thoughts and feelings, savoring each one. Recognize that slowing down is not a luxury, but necessary to help you connect deeply with what nourishes you.

When you feel ready, begin to bring your awareness back to your breath. Take any movements you may need, giving yourself the time you need to shift back to the space around you. And when you are ready, open your eyes slowly. Carry this sense of mindfulness and appreciation with you as you return to your day.

Thank you for joining me for this week's practice. If you enjoyed this meditation, be sure to subscribe or follow. That will help others find the practice and help this small podcast continue to grow.

And as always, thank you for helping me spread the word that a few minutes of meditation really can make a difference.

Until next week...
