Hello and welcome.
My name is Hannah and I'm so happy you're here today. Thank you for taking a few minutes of your day to join me for this min meditation.
This week's practice is another listener request and it's focused on taking time to reflect on your values.
It's short and is intended to leave you feeling relaxed and more aligned.
So let's get started.
Begin by finding a comfortable seated position. Take a couple of moments to shift around if that's helpful, and settle into a position that feels good for you today. When you are ready, you can gently close your eyes or maybe soften your gaze if that feels better for you.
Let's take an intentional breath here.
Inhale through your nose, filling your lungs, feeling your stomach rise and exhale slowly through your mouth, releasing any tension.
Give yourself permission to arrive in this present moment.
I invite you to begin to shift your attention to your breath, noticing its natural rhythm. There's no need to change anything, just take note the natural rhythm of the inhale and the exhale. As your breath begins to steady.
As you breathe, take a moment to reflect on what truly matters to you, on your values, those principles that guide your decisions and your actions. Some examples might be honesty, compassion, family, or maybe even creativity. Challenge yourself to identify one or two core values that really resonate with you.
If it feels comfortable for you, maybe take a moment here to silently affirm these values to acknowledge their importance. You might say "I value honesty" or "Compassion is so important to me." Take this opportunity to embrace the values and their importance in your life. The things that truly matter to you.
Now take a moment to think about how these values influence your daily actions. Acknowledge areas where you feel aligned and also those you may stray away from from, without judgment. Begin to reflect on one small action you can take in the coming days to honor your values more closely.
Take one final round of breath here on your own, using the inhale to fully embrace your personal values and the exhale to release anything that is no longer serving you.
When you are ready, gently bring your awareness back to the present moment Take any movements you may need and slowly in your own time, open your eyes as you return to your day.
Carry the clarity you have gained holding those values that matter most.
