Hannah Castillo:  Welcome to the Love Your Calm podcast. Mini meditations to help you slow down and find your balance in this fast-paced world.

Hello and welcome.

My name is Hannah and I'm so happy you're here. Thanks for choosing to spend a few minutes of your day here with me. If you've been feeling overwhelmed lately, you're definitely not the only one.

This week's short meditation will help you pause, breathe and refocus your energy.

Let's get started.

Begin by finding a comfortable position, whatever that may mean for you today. If it is comfortable for you, consider closing your eyes or maybe soften your gaze. If that feels better. Take a deep breath in through your nose, feeling your stomach rise. Gently hold it for a moment and then exhale slowly through your mouth, releasing any tension or worries as you settle into your breath.

Allow it to find a natural rhythm with each inhale. Invite in a sense of peace and with each exhale begin to let go of any feelings of overwhelm. Release any pressure. Feel your body begin to soften as it starts to let go of any weight you've been carrying.

Take a moment here to reflect on what may be causing you to feel overwhelmed. It's okay to recognize these feelings. There's no need for judgment. Just take a moment to acknowledge how you're feeling in this moment.

As you breathe in, visualize gathering strength and clarity and with the exhale, imagine releasing the weight of your worries, letting them drift away.

Take a moment to affirm silently to yourself.

I let go of what I can't control and focus on what I can.

Let these words really take root within you. Feel the heaviness lifting as you embrace this affirmation.

I let go of what I can't control and focus on what I can.

Take one final round of breath here on your own, breathing in a sense of peace and calm.

And when you are ready, begin to bring your awareness back to the space around you. Take any movements you may need as you shift back to this space. When it feels comfortable for you, slowly open your eyes. Carry the sense of calm you have created as you return to your day, knowing that you can return to this practice anytime you're feeling overwhelmed.

Thank you for joining me for this week's short meditation. Whether this is your first time listening or you've been here every week, it means so much to me that you are here today.
