Hannah Castillo:  Welcome to the Love Your Calm podcast. Mini Meditations to help you slow down and find your balance in this fast-paced world.

 Hello and welcome.

If you've been feeling overwhelmed lately, this week's practice is for you.

Sometimes taking a few minutes to slow down and check in with yourself can make all the difference. It can help you to identify what else you may need.

I invite you to relax into this short meditation and use this practice to take what you need today.

Let's get started.

Take a moment to settle into a position that feels comfortable for you. Take any movements you may need and find a position that feels good for you today. If it feels safe for you, consider closing your eyes or softening your gaze.

Let's take one intentional breath here, together, completely breathing in through your nose. Hold here for a moment and exhale fully, releasing any worries or tension you may be holding.

As you begin to relax into your breath, let it flow naturally here. Each inhale invite in a sense of presence and with each exhale, let go of anything that may be weighing you down.

I invite you to take a moment to turn your attention within to begin to check in with yourself. How are you feeling in this moment? Acknowledge any emotions or sensations that arise. There's no need to change anything. Whether you feel calm, anxious, tired, or even energized, simply observe what is present within you.

Give yourself permission to begin to consider what you may need right now. Is it a moment of stillness? A glimmer of hope? An acknowledgement of gratitude, or perhaps some compassion for yourself? Allow your awareness to guide you in recognizing what would support you best in this moment. As you continue to breathe, remind yourself that it's okay to take what you need from this practice. There's no right or wrong way to feel. This space is yours to explore. It's okay to take this time to nurture yourself in whatever way feels best for you.

If your mind begins to wander, gently acknowledge those thoughts and return your focus to your breath. Remember that this time is about you and your needs.

Take one final round of breath here on your own, inviting in a sense of acceptance for where you are right now and for what you may need. And when you are ready, gently bring your awareness back to the space around you. Take any movements you may need and slowly in your own time, open your eyes. Carry this practice of checking in with yourself throughout your day, allowing yourself to take what you need.
