Everyone feels insecure at times. In fact, this is something that comes up in my sessions with clients fairly frequently. So when a listener requested this topic, it seemed fitting.

This short meditation invites you to take a few minutes to acknowledge any insecurities you may be experiencing, reflect on any useful information you may gain from them, and to then release any insecure thoughts you may be experiencing. This practice leaves you with a powerful affirmation that you can carry with you into your day.

Hannah Castillo: Welcome to the Love Your Calm podcast. Mini meditations to help you slow down and find your balance in this fast paced world.

Hello and welcome.

Feeling insecure is a topic that has come up multiple times in the past couple of weeks in my sessions. So when a listener also reached out and requested this topic, it felt fitting.

This week's short meditation is all about releasing any insecurities you may be experiencing.

Let's get started.

Begin by finding a comfortable position. You can be seated or lying down, whatever feels good for you today. Take any movements you may need to help your body begin to settle. If It feels comfortable for you, consider closing your eyes or maybe just soften your gaze. As you begin to relax into this practice your breath starts to settle into its natural rhythm. With each inhale, invite in a sense of calm and with each exhale feel your body begin to soften as any tension or worries you may be holding begin to unwind and start to release.

I invite you to bring your awareness to any feelings of insecurity that may arise within you. Acknowledge these thoughts, these feelings without any judgment.Understand that everyone experiences insecurities at times. They're part of life, part of being human. Take a moment here to observe them, realizing that they do not define who you are. Give yourself permission to consider any information that these thoughts may be giving you. Maybe these insecure thoughts are focusing on an area of your life that might need a little extra attention or love. Or perhaps these thoughts are highlighting your values and pointing you towards something you would really like to work towards.

Take a moment to reflect on any information that you feel would be helpful for you at this point in your life, while also acknowledging that these insecure thoughts and feelings are not the whole picture.

These thoughts are not truths. As you continue to breathe here, remind yourself of your worth. Consider your unique qualities and strengths, those qualities you bring with you into each and every day. Use your inhales to invite in self love and acceptance and use the exhales to release any self doubt. Imagine your breath creating space for self compassion and acceptance.

Consider repeating this powerful affirmation to yourself.

I trust that everything I need exists within me.

I trust that everything I need exists within me.

Take one final round of breath here on your own,

inhaling acceptance,

holding this affirmation

And when you are ready, begin to shift your awareness back to the space around you. Take any movements you may need, maybe wiggle your fingers or toes, stretch in a way that feels good for you and when it feels comfortable, gently open your eyes ready to return to your day.
