Hannah Castillo: Welcome to the Love Your Calm podcast. Mini meditations to help you slow down and find your balance in this fast-paced world.

Hello and welcome.

This week's episode is a listener request. If you've been feeling a little disconnected, lost, or maybe even stuck, this one's for you. This short meditation encourages you to slow down and uses a powerful affirmation in order to help you practice self-acceptance.

Let's get started.

Begin by finding a position that feels good for you today. You can be seated with your feet flat on the floor, sitting, cross legged, or even lying down. Whatever feels most comfortable for you. If it feels safe for you, consider closing your eyes or maybe just soften your gaze as your breath begins to settle.

I invite you to shift your awareness to the present moment. Take a moment to notice how your body feels, any sensations you experience. The feeling of your breath as it enters and leaves your body, the rhythm of your heartbeat. Give yourself permission to be fully present here, letting go of any distractions or worry.

Now take a moment to reflect on the essence of who you are, on what makes you unique. Maybe think about what makes you feel alive. Your passions. Your values. Consider those qualities in you that you want to fully embrace, the ones you want to share with the world.

With each inhale, invite these qualities into your awareness and with each exhale release any doubts or external influences that may have distracted you from feeling connected with your true self. As you continue with your even breath here, consider using this simple affirmation in order to connect with yourself and those qualities you would like to embrace.

Consider repeating this affirmation either out loud or silently to yourself.

I embrace myself with love and acceptance.

I embrace myself with love and acceptance.

Feel the strength of this affirmation resonating within you, grounding you, helping you lean into your authenticity. Give yourself permission to breathe into this connection as it fills you with warmth and acceptance and remind you that it's okay to embrace yourself fully, exactly as you are in this moment.

Take one final round of breath here on your own, fully embracing yourself with love and acceptance. And when you are ready, begin to bring yourself back to the space around you. Take any movements you may need and when it feels comfortable for you in your own time, slowly open your eyes. Carry the sense of connection with you throughout your day, reminding yourself that you can always return to who you are and embrace yourself with love and acceptance.
