Hannah Castillo:  Welcome to the Love Your Calm Podcast. Mini Meditations to help you slow down and find your balance in this fast-paced world.

Hello and welcome.

This week's episode is focused on the power of connection, not only with those around you and the world at large, but also the importance of slowing down and reconnecting with yourself.

Let's get started.

Take a moment to find a position that feels good for you today. You can take any movements you might need. Maybe roll your shoulders back a couple of times. Take any stretches that feel good for you. When you are settled, consider closing your eyes if that feels safe for you. Or maybe just soften your gaze.

Let's take one intentional breath here together. Inhale deeply through your nose, feeling your stomach slowly rise. Hold it for a moment. And then exhale completely through your mouth. Feeling your stomach gently fall, your body begins to relax, as you start to let go of any tension or worries.

As you settle into your natural breath, bring your awareness to the present moment. Maybe begin to reflect on this idea of connection. Use this opportunity to consider the delicate threads that connect us all. A shared laugh. A fleeting smile. Each moment is a whisper of warmth. Each small moment adding value to your life. And a reminder of those threads.

As you hold these connections, pause for a few moments to also look within. To recognize your own thoughts and feelings. To identify your needs. To move beyond any distractions. And meet yourself with honesty and compassion.

Your voice deserves to be heard. When you give yourself permission to connect, to live authentically, it helps you to recognize the integral part you also play in the world. I invite you to lean into this connection. To consider ways this connection helps you to find the support you need and in turn to provide support for those around you.

Take a couple of rounds of breath here. Using the inhale to invite in love and connection. And the exhale to release any lingering tension or worries. Reminding yourself that connection can be a source of strength and love.

And when you are ready, begin to bring yourself back to the space around you. Take any movements you may need. And slowly, when it feels comfortable for you. Open your eyes. Carry this feeling of connection with you as you move through your day.
