Hannah Castillo: Welcome to the Love Your Calm podcast. Mini meditations to help you slow down and find your balance in this fast-paced world.
Hello and welcome.
Life can be stressful. So this week's practice meets you exactly where you are. It's a quick stress relief meditation and will help you to release any tension you may be feeling right now.
Let's get started.
Begin by taking a moment to find a position that feels good for you today. Take any cues from your body, any movement you might need, and settle into a position that feels comfortable for you.
When you are ready, softly close your eyes if that feels safe for you, or simply lower your gaze. As your breath begins to find its natural rhythm, I invite you to bring your awareness to the present moment. Give yourself permission to arrive in this moment. With each inhale, invite in a sense of peace. And with each exhale, feel your body begin to soften just a little as any tension you may be holding begins to loosen.
As you start to relax into the gentle rhythm of your breath, any stress you are holding begins to melt away like shadows at dawn, giving way to the hope of a new day. With each inhale, continue to breathe in a sense of calm. And with each exhale, release any stress that may be lingering, feeling it flow freely from your body.
Here in this stillness,
you are safe
and any thoughts that may enter your mind are free to flow through,
leaving quietly as you return to your breath,
Surrounded by the peace you have created.
Take one final round of breath here, relaxing fully into the vastness of this moment.
And when you are ready, begin to bring yourself back to the space around you. Take any movement you may need and slowly in your own time, open your eyes, feeling lighter and more relaxed as you prepare to return to your day.
Thank you for joining me today for this short meditation. I love the idea of people all around the world meditating together, creating these pockets of calm. So thank you for choosing to spend a few minutes of your day here with me. If you found this practice helpful, do me a favor and share it with a friend or maybe a couple of friends.
Don't forget to subscribe or follow wherever you are listening.
And as always, thank you for helping me to spread the word that including a few minutes of meditation in your day really can make a difference.
Until next week...
