Hannah Castillo: Welcome to the Love Your Calm podcast. Mini meditations to help you slow down and find your balance in this fast-paced world.

Hello and welcome.

This week's meditation invites you to practice giving yourself grace. We all experience periods of self-doubt. We've all probably gotten lost in shoulds at one point or another. So today let's take a few minutes to slow down and give ourselves the same grace we would most likely extend so easily to anyone else we care about.

Let's get started.

Take a moment to find a position that feels good for you today. You can be seated or lying down, whatever feels comfortable. If it feels safe for you, consider closing your eyes or maybe just soften your gaze.

Let's take one intentional breath here together to settle into this practice. Inhale deeply through your nose, feeling your stomach gently rise. Hold it for a moment and exhale through your mouth with a sigh, beginning to let go of any worries or stress you may be holding.

As you settle into your breath, invite in a sense of softness. Life can be demanding and it's easy to be hard on yourself, so use your inhales here to breathe in compassion and with each exhale begin to let go of any self-judgment.

Imagine standing in a warm, gentle light. This light represents grace and as it bathes you with its warmth, remind yourself that it's okay to stumble and grow. Reflect on moments when you've been critical of yourself. And notice the shift in these thoughts as they too are surrounded by this light. The edges of these thoughts become softer as you begin to give yourself grace to offer yourself compassion and understanding.

As you begin to acknowledge that whatever challenges you have faced, you've done your best to navigate them. You continue to show up, to try, to learn and grow. Embrace the idea that this grace is a gift you can give yourself every single day, recognizing that any stumbles you may make along the way are all a part of your journey and do not determine your worth.

Take a couple of rounds of breath here, releasing any lingering self-doubt, using this space to offer yourself the grace you deserve.

And when you are ready, begin to shift your awareness back to the space around you. Take any movements you might need and when you are ready, in your own time, slowly open your eyes. Carry this sense of compassion with you as you return to your day.
