Hannah Castillo: Welcome to the Love Your Calm podcast. Mini meditations to help you slow down and find your balance in this fast-paced world.

Hello and welcome.

This week's short meditation is a grounding exercise. It's an invitation to explore the rhythm of grounding, using the steady beat of your heart as a guide to stability.

Let's get started.

Take a moment to find a comfortable position, whatever that feels like for you. Today, you can be seated or lying down, giving your body permission to settle into the embrace of the earth beneath you. If it feels safe for you, consider closing your eyes or maybe soften your gaze, inviting in a sense of calm.

Let's take an intentional breath here together. Inhale, filling your lungs with fresh air. Feeling your stomach rise. Hold it for a moment and then exhale completely, releasing any tension you may be holding. Feeling your body begin to soften.

As your breath continues naturally, I invite you to begin to shift your focus to the gentle rhythm of your heartbeat. Imagine it as a steady drum beat, a pulse that keeps you anchored in the present moment. With each beat, feel the grounding energy flowing through you, connecting you to the earth. Inhale deeply, feeling this drum beat, the rhythm of your heart steady and reassuring. And exhale, releasing any distractions, allowing this steady rhythm to guide you deeper into this peaceful place.

As you feel the steady beat of your heart, take a moment to reflect on its power, the way it keeps you present, a reminder that you are alive, connected and whole. Each beat is a reminder to embrace the now, to find peace in the ever changing flow of life.

Take one final round of breath here on your own,

 Embracing this sense of stability.

And when you are ready, begin to bring your awareness back to the space around you. Take any movements you might need, maybe wiggle your fingers and toes, Taking note of the connection with the earth beneath you. And when it feels right, in your own time, open your eyes.
