Hello and welcome.

This week's short meditation is focused on giving yourself the space to explore and navigate your emotions.

Let's get started.

Begin by finding a position that feels comfortable, whatever that looks like for you today. Let your body rest against the surface beneath you, feeling supported. If it feels safe for you, consider gently closing your eyes or maybe lower your gaze.

As you start to settle into the rhythm of your breath, begin to shift your awareness to this present moment, giving yourself permission to acknowledge any emotions you may be experiencing. There's no need to judge whatever feelings may be coming up for you. Emotions can often change abruptly, similar to changing weather patterns. Some days may be sunny and bright, filled with joy or maybe contentment. Other days may have unsettled clouds, feelings of sadness, anger, frustration. But every pattern is a natural part of your ever changing emotional climate. Every feeling is valid. With each breath here, allow yourself to recognize whatever feelings arise within you.

Whatever weather patterns exist today. Acknowledge the sun, the rain, or even any storms that may be brewing, Knowing that each of these are valid and worthy of your attention. If one particular emotion surfaces, take a moment to explore it. What does it feel like in your body. Is it heaviness in your heart? A flutter in your stomach or maybe even a sense of lightness like the sun shining through a wall of clouds. Breathe into whatever emotion arises, giving it the freedom to move through. Remembering that emotions, like weather, are temporary. They ebb and flow, shifting with the seasons of your life. Give yourself the space to navigate these changes with compassion.

Take a couple of rounds of breath here on your own,

Inviting in clarity and understanding,

Releasing any resistance to your emotions.

And when you are ready, begin to shift your awareness back. Take any movements you may need, giving yourself the time to reconnect with the space around you. And when it feels comfortable for you, slowly open your eyes.
