Welcome to the Love Your Calm podcast.
Mini meditations to help you slow down and find your balance in this fast paced world.
Hello and welcome.
This week's meditation invites you to slow down and take a few minutes to cultivate a sense of peace before greeting the day ahead.
Let's get started.
Begin by finding a comfortable position, whatever that feels like to you. Give your body permission to settle into the support beneath you, finding comfort in this feeling of being held, the support the earth offers. If it feels safe for you, consider gently closing your eyes or maybe just soften your gaze.
Let's take one intentional breath here together. Inhale through your nose, feeling the cool air filling your lungs. Your stomach gently rises. Pause for a moment and then exhale slowly through your mouth, feeling your stomach fall, releasing any tension that may be lingering from yesterday.
Let your breath flow naturally now, like a gentle stream. As you begin to shift your awareness to the present moment. There's no need to rush, no need to change anything. Give yourself this moment to simply be. Your breath continues at its own pace. Your body begins to soften just a little as you give yourself permission to begin to relax into this moment. To set aside any pressure you may be feeling, Any tension that may have been weighing you down. And you give yourself the space to begin to welcome in the peace of this moment, The peace you are creating.
Feel this peace continue to rise in you like the early morning sun as it greets the day, Growing bigger with each breath.
Take a couple of rounds of breath here, basking in this moment of peace, holding it gently. And when you are ready, begin to bring your awareness back to the space around you. Take any movements you may need, maybe wiggle your fingers and toes, roll your shoulders back a couple of times if this feels good for you. And when it is comfortable, slowly open your eyes. Carry this sense of peace you have created with you as you move into your day.
