Welcome to the Love Your Calm Podcast: Mini Meditations to help you slow down and find your balance in this fast-paced world.
Hello and welcome.
This week's meditation invites you to slow down and to acknowledge joy and happiness for the simple moments in your life.
Let's get started.
Take a minute to find a comfortable position. Whatever feels best for you today, take any movements you may need to help you really settle in. If it feels safe for you, gently close your eyes or maybe just lower your gaze.
As your breath begins to settle into its natural rhythm, bring your awareness to the present moment. Take a moment here to begin to check in with yourself, to acknowledge how it feels here, right now, in this moment.
Give yourself permission to begin to think about the small things that make you smile, those little glimmers you notice as you go through your day, those little things that bring you a sense of calm, security and maybe even safety.
It might be as simple as noticing the morning light dancing across the wall
Sharing a genuine laugh with someone you love
Watching the clouds play as they change shape before your eyes,
Or even accepting a genuine smile from a stranger.
Give yourself permission to really feel these moments. To note the feelings of calm and safety they bring. Each one is an invitation to invite in this positive energy. Take a couple of rounds of breath here, giving your body permission to soften as any worries you may have been carrying continue to release. As your body relaxes into this practice. And your nervous system continues to settle, recognizing the comfort and safety you create by embracing these small moments, these glimmers.
Take one final round of breath,
inviting in peace and letting go of any lingering tension.
And when you are ready, begin to shift your awareness back to the space around you. Take any movements you may need, maybe wiggle your fingers and toes and slowly, in your own time, open your eyes, ready to return to your day.
Thank you for joining me for this short meditation. It means so much to me that you are here that you've chosen to spend a few minutes of your day meditating with me.
If this is your first time listening, I hope you'll join me again and maybe explore the other episodes if you've been listening for a while. Thank you so much for being here.
And as always, thank you for helping me spread the word that including a few minutes of meditation in your day really can make a difference.
Until next week...
