Welcome to the Love Your Calm podcast. Mini meditations to help you slow down and find your balance in this fast-paced world.

Hello and welcome.

If you've been feeling overwhelmed, or maybe even having a hard time staying focused, you are not alone. This week's meditation invites in clarity and focus in order to help you clear your mind.

Let's get started.

Find a comfortable position, either sitting or lying down. Whatever feels best for you today. Give your body permission to begin to relax into the support beneath you, maybe taking note of the feeling of connection with the surface below. If it feels safe for you, consider closing your eyes or maybe lower your gaze.

Let's take one intentional breath here to help settle into this practice. Inhale through your nose, feeling your lungs fill completely and your stomach gently rises. Hold it and then exhale completely through your mouth, beginning to release any tension you may be holding.

As your breath starts to find its natural rhythm, bring your attention to your thoughts. Notice any distractions or mental noise that may arise. It's normal for your mind to wander. Acknowledge these thoughts and gently guide your focus back to the present moment, beginning to invite in a sense of clarity.

Maybe consider what clarity means to you. Perhaps it's a clear vision for your day. The ability to concentrate, or maybe simply a quieter mind. Take a couple of rounds of breath here, giving yourself the space to sit with whatever comes up for you, letting these feelings fill you.

As you continue to breathe here, imagine your thoughts becoming lighter, like clouds drifting away. Remember to meet yourself with understanding here, to acknowledge that it's perfectly normal for your mind to stray, for the thoughts to drift in. Your power lies in the ability to return your focus to this moment, To simply observe these thoughts as they float through. With the awareness that you can choose not to grab them, not to chase them, But instead to watch them drift through.

Consider using this short affirmation by repeating it either silently or out loud.

I choose to focus on what matters most.

Take a couple of rounds of breath here as this affirmation begins to take root, Giving yourself permission to to remain here in this moment, inviting in the clarity you would like to hold today.

I choose to focus on what matters most.

And when you are ready, gently bring your awareness back to the space around you. Take any movements you may need, maybe wiggle your fingers and toes, roll your shoulders back a couple of times, and when it feels right, in your own time, slowly open your eyes.

Thank you for joining me today for this short meditation.
