Welcome to the Love Your Calm podcast. Mini meditations to help you slow down and find your balance in this fast-paced world.
Hello and welcome.
This week's meditation is focused on accepting support. Maybe you've been doing all the things getting enough sleep, exercising, meditating, eating healthy, but it still doesn't seem like you're feeling the way you hoped. If this resonates with you, you're not alone. And this week's meditation is for you.
Let's get started.
Take a moment to find a comfortable position, whatever that feels like for you. You can be seated or lying down, taking any cues you need from your body to help you settle in. When you are ready, consider closing your eyes. If this feels safe for you, or maybe just soften your gaze.
As your breath begins to find its natural rhythm, I invite you to consider all of the ways you have been caring for yourself. Take a moment here to acknowledge gratitude for this, for the ways you've been showing up for yourself. You might reflect on what is working well and maybe even explore ways to evolve these practices.
If it feels comfortable, take a moment to reflect on any areas in which you may need support. It can be helpful to identify any barriers which might have prevented you from accepting support in the past. There's no need for judgment here. Simply notice any barriers you may perceive. Give yourself permission to acknowledge them with an open mind to consider whether these barriers are currently serving you.
To consider what it might look like to recognize that you are worthy of support, whatever that might look like at this point in your life.
Use this simple affirmation, repeating it silently to yourself or out loud,
I am worthy of care and accept the support I need.
Take a couple of rounds of breath here as this affirmation settles in.
Reminding yourself you are worthy of care,
it's okay to seek support.
Take one final round of breath here.
And when you are ready, begin to bring your awareness back to the space around you. Take all the time you need, moving at your own pace, and when it feels comfortable for you, slowly open your eyes, ready to return to your day. Thank you for joining me for this short meditation.
